31/05/2011 On 26.05.2011 a meeting was held of the institutions responsible for border control in seaports.
The meeting was held in the building of MTITC - Executive Agency "Maritime Administration" initiated by the BASBA.
The problems discussed were those encountered by businesses and government agencies in carrying out their duties and the
barriers for the introduction of electronic document data exchange. Particular issue was how to settle legal-wise the use
of the information system maintained by the Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company. It was decided to set up a working group
to develop a draft amending legislation for introduction of electronic processing of documents for the provision of "free pratique"
and giving " sailing permission" to ships visiting Bulgarian ports and transposition of 2010/65/ES Directive of the
European Parliament and the Council of 20 October 2010 concerning the formalities of information on ships arriving in and / or
departing from ports of the Member States and repealing Directive 2002/6/EC < 15/04/2011 Invitation to all members for the Annual meeting of the BASBA to be held on the 19 May 2010. 12/04/2011 A meeting was held in the conference room of the Maritime Administration in Varna about arised issues during the course of the port agents work.

Attached please find the highlights of the discussions during the plenary meetings. 10/10/2010 In the period of 11-Th until 15-Th of October the 41-st FONASBA (Federation of National Associations of Ship Brokers and Agents) Annual Meeting will be held at the hotel "Melia Grand Hermitage" in the Golden Sands resort in Bulgaria..
